Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Peach County, Georgia. The job is in a tailoring workshop. Your main tasks: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits.
