Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Teton County, Montana. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Day to day you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush.
