Metal caster wanted in Providence County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in Providence County, Rhode Island. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
