Join our team: we are hiring a production welder in Amador County, California. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness You should have: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Willing to work shifts and overtime At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
