Foundry operative • Oneida County, Idaho

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Oneida County, Idaho. You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Pay around $21 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
