Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Brown County, Texas. Day to day you will thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Part-time with flexible hours.
