Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Chautauqua County, New York. You will be based on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
