Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols You will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush.
