Great opportunity: shakeout operator (Idaho)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Minidoka County, Idaho. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
