Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
