Immediate opening: pipe tig welder (Kentucky)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Warren County, Kentucky. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Full-time, day shift.
