Production welder • Wood County, Wisconsin

We are recruiting: we are hiring a production welder in Wood County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Day to day you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch.
