Great opportunity: rebar fixer (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Wythe County, Virginia. You will work at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,600 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Share your details and we will call you back.
