Industrial sewing operator wanted in Houston County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Houston County, Alabama. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day-to-day duties: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes 4+ years on the tools preferred.
