Die-casting operator • Osceola County, Iowa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Osceola County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 5+ years on the tools preferred.
