Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Knox County, Nebraska. On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding We offer $3,400 per month plus benefits.
