Immediate opening: sheet metal welder (Colorado)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in La Plata County, Colorado. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $28 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
