Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage On a typical shift you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent.
