Natural gas fitter wanted in Plaquemines Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a busy gas installation company. Ideal candidate: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces The role involves: • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
