Vacancy available: GTAW welder (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Brazos County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Six days a week, one day off.
