Fire and safety officer — Lucas County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Lucas County, Ohio. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. Day to day you will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry. You should have: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
