Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Bexar County, Texas. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Day-to-day duties: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
