Immediate opening: pipe TIG welder (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Mecosta County, Michigan. You will be based on a structural steel site. The role involves clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
