Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Jeff Davis County, Georgia. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench You should have: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Full-time with occasional weekends.
