Now hiring: we are hiring a steam press operator in Napa County, California. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Day to day you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
