Aluminium tig welder — North Tyneside

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in North Tyneside, England. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 1+ years on the tools preferred.
