Immediate opening: we are hiring a gardener in Henry County, Alabama. You will work at a private estate garden. You should have: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors Your main tasks: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
