Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Palo Pinto County, Texas. The job is on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
