Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furniture maker in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. The role involves apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits.
