Tig welder — Henderson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Henderson County, North Carolina. You will be based in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On the job you will handle: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Six days a week, one day off.
