Great opportunity: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Kwaya Kusar, Borno State. The job is in a meat processing plant. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate The role involves: • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts Six days a week, one day off.
