Immediate opening: we are hiring a finishing presser in Columbia County, Wisconsin. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine On the job you will handle: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Six days a week, one day off.
