Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Polk County, Iowa. You will be based on a structural steel site. You will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
