Lorry driver • Pitkin County, Colorado

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lorry driver in Pitkin County, Colorado. You will be based at a container freight yard. Day to day you will keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; report defects and book the unit in for servicing. Ideal candidate: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Valid digital tachograph card Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
