Immediate opening: we are hiring a gardener in Washtenaw County, Michigan. You will be based on the grounds of a hotel resort. You should have: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors On a typical shift you will rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
