Immediate opening: tailor machinist (Osun State)

Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Ifelodun, Osun State. You will be based at a busy garment factory. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
