Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Aiken County, South Carolina. You will be based at a power plant. On the job you will handle: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Part-time with flexible hours.
