Rebar fixer — Gladwin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Gladwin County, Michigan. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules We offer $21 per hour plus benefits.
