Fabricator-welder wanted in Washington County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Washington County, Mississippi. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. Day to day you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence. Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
