Immediate opening: head butcher (South Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a head butcher in Union County, South Carolina. The job is in a supermarket meat department. What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Your main tasks: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts 1+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
