Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Adams County, Idaho. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required 3+ years on the tools preferred.
