Industrial sewing operator wanted in Mercer County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Mercer County, Kentucky. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens On a typical shift you will press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $240 per day, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
