Canteen cook • Garfield County, Washington

Vacancy available: we are hiring a canteen cook in Garfield County, Washington. The job is in a catering banquet kitchen. Day to day you will manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies Full-time with occasional weekends.
