CO2 welder — Columbia County

Now hiring: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Columbia County, Wisconsin. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. On the job you will handle: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Six days a week, one day off.
