Garment machinist wanted in Macon County

Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Macon County, Missouri. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. You will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
