Excavator operator • City of Martinsville, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring an excavator operator in City of Martinsville, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Check for underground cables and services before digging What we are looking for: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise Full-time with occasional weekends.
