Sheet metal welder — Mercer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Mercer County, West Virginia. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
