Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Saint Louis County, Missouri. The job is at a precast concrete yard. On a typical shift you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Meals and transport allowance provided.
