Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Neath Port Talbot, Wales. You will be based on a residential tower site. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork The role involves set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; repair damaged plywood and timber shutters; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. £2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
