Gas metal arc welder • Millard County, Utah

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Millard County, Utah. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $2,600 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
